Set for Vernon Hills High School's 2019 production of "The Old Man and the Old Moon". I worked as assistant set designer and student tech director, aiding with the design and construction of the set and its installation at the Illinois High School Theatre fest in January 2020.
My set for Vernon Hills High School's production of "The K of D" in 2019. I was the set designer and also heavily contributed to the construction and development of the set and practical lighting. The play is framed as an urban legend about a group of children and is set in rural Ohio.
The design uses a variety of building materials to create a general sense of suburbia while indicating that this area is run down or overgrown. The characters are outside for majority of the play, which the design reflects--suggesting the feeling or memory of childhood summers spent playing in someone's yard.
